Setouchi Triennale 2025
Hara Design Institute has handled the creation of the main visuals for the Setouchi Triennale since the inaugural festival.
The stage for this sixth festival is a seaside swimming area.
Wearing red swimming caps and black swimsuits, a swarm of junior and senior high school students gather on a swim platform, jump into the sea all at once, and eventually re-surface.
The series of photos evokes the moment when an extraordinary time—a time of art—manifests in the familiar landscape of the Seto Inland Sea.
The visuals are intended to announce the return of this event while at the same inspiring a poetic desire to return to that place.
