Pon-Ponyu website
The opening scene of the homepage video is full of vitality, with overhead footage of students from the high school in Shibecha moving outward across a field, starting from a tight circle.
Drones were used to record the Kushiro Marsh, which is ever-changing with the seasons, from a bird's-eye view. The footage captures the dynamism of the marsh, including the lush forests and unique vegetation that grow there, and the ice that languidly floats down the Kushiro River.
The website entices people to use Pon-Ponyu as a base for visiting the Kushiro Marsh by featuring a variety of content capturing the wetlands from both inside and outside the lodge. In addition to showcasing experiences inside the hotel, such as the guest rooms, hot spring baths, and meals, all of which incorporate the natural features of the wetlands, it also shows activities unique to the wetlands, such as smelt fishing and canoe tours, and it also presents a three-way conversation between Kengo Kuma, Kenya Hara, and Terutaka Suzuki, who came together during the renovation.
