MUJI “good summer stuff” promotion

Hara Design Institute created a variety of tools for in-store promotions highlighting items that are useful for the summer in one display.
These items include clothing for keeping cool, things that let the breeze through, sun-block items, and cold food items.
Products that make the hot season more comfortable are grouped together as “good summer stuff,” and each category is promoted in a unified way with refreshing illustrations and short phrases.
The illustrations match the visuals and tone for the “Breathable Organic Cotton” line of innerwear being sold in the same timeframe, creating a consistent summery atmosphere in the store.
The outlines of the products are drawn one by one, but with minimal gradation, leaving the viewer to wonder what each is and wanting to find it.
