MUJI Aeon Mall Kashihara — Renewal Opening
To mark the renewal opening of MUJI Aeon Mall Kashihara, we created the store's visuals, signage, and in-store tools. This location serves as a key base for "ReMUJI," MUJI’s initiative toward a circular society.
Hara Design Institute produced visuals expressing the connections between people and goods, featuring local shops, community members, and children carrying collected items — illustrating the cycle of reuse.
The signage design combines kanji and English to concisely communicate each department. We installed seven pillar signs indicating product categories and forty types of hanging signs detailing subcategories, clearly organizing the vast 8,200㎡ store. The pillar signs cover all four sides of each column, and the hanging signs are cross-shaped for easy visibility from any direction.
Additionally, we designed maps to visually organize the store layout and created tabloids introducing store services, helping to create an accessible and user-friendly shopping environment.
