ORIGIN of SIMPLICITY - 20 Visions of Japanese Design

We were responsible for the exhibition design and graphic design for ORIGIN of SIMPLICITY - 20 Visions of Japanese Design at the ADI Design Museum in Italy.

The exhibition, curated by Rossella Menegazzo, Professor of East Asian Art History at the University of Milan, explores the roots of Japanese design from the standpoint of twenty different themes.

Designs from different eras and contexts—from traditional designs such as tea whisks and egg carriers to famous furniture pieces, crafts, and experimental works by contemporary designers—are arranged by theme, giving visitors an overview of Japanese design from a multifaceted perspective.
